The most important thing to remember is every dog is unique and will adjust differently. The rule of 3 is a general guideline for the adjustment period. Give them a chance to decompress, learn your routine, and to feel at home.
Dogs have an amazing way of making people happy. You can enjoy all the benefits with some well directed efforts to help your dog adjust to life in your new home.
